Got them doing the General Knox missions and diddn't do any specatular feats to get them. Got a pearl rifle, pistol and smg.

Honestly though they are not all that awesome. They don't need ammo, but run out of charge pretty quick. Or at least what I've got does. The smg I think is better than the rifle so sights on it with the smg you can shoot-and-scoot.
